Be Watchful

Many years ago, a young man stood in his room preparing to spend time alone with the Lord. He took up his beautiful guitar and started play, slowly but surely, he got into the “tune” of things and his mind visualised a congregation and he was leading them into high praise and worship.
He poured his heart out singing and leading… till a gentle voice asked “who are you leading?” The “worship” was immediately pulled to a halt and this young man fell to his knees, knowing that he has missed the point of worship.
In the same way, we are so easily caught up in doing all the good things of this world; so much so that the lines are blurred and we make believe that these dreams are the things of God. We pursue our own dreams and ambitions and justifying ourselves by saying that its towards building God’s Kingdom, when its simply building our own homes and palaces.
Be watchful. If the dream or ministry is bigger than God, its time to let it go.
